Welcome! (calendar on Dave Kraemer page)
I'm Dave Kraemer and this is my website. Phill Space is the nick-name for this site. It comes from the years as guitarist with original band Dan Kidney and the Pulsations, where my job was to...
"Phill" musical "Space"!
Here I try to fill venues in Northern New Jersey with live music solo or as a duo with Pulse DK, or as an electric trio with Electric Pulse. Please see corresponding pages on this website. We also love to play for parties and other affairs, just let us know on the contact page.
The most important thing is to be able to "commit" to the song. Light or heavy, where did the songwriter or interpreter take you? What was the attitude? That makes for a successful cover of a song.
At present, I am involved in several projects, all rock 'n roll from the 50's thru the 90's, playing throughout North Jersey. There is my solo act, then Pulse DK, the duo begun with DK&P member Ken Colgate in 1995 (Dave & Kenny). It is a rockin' duo featuring Peter Bremy or Ron Zito. With the addition of a drummer there is Electric Pulse, featuring Bobby Boom-Boom on drums, Ron Zito on bass (or perhaps guitar) and myself on electric guitar. I am also the host of a long running open mic that began at Jiggs's Corner in Butler in 1996 and is currently stationed at the The Old Canal Inn in Nutley on Thursdays.
I have been teaching guitar (classical thru rock) and bass for over thirty years. Location is a consideration as is availability, but feel free to contact me if I can be of help.
I would also like to give humble thanks to all who have supported live music over the years and all the people who have lent us an ear. Without interest in live music, there wouldn't be any! Hmm... that sounds like a Yogi Berra-ism. The list of people would fill up an entire website!
Hopefully, all this stuff will make people feel good.
Please see the Dave Kraemer page for an up to date calendar showing availability for the bands or myself.
